It would be true to say that Noel is first and foremost a specialist in fraud investigation. From early in his career Noel concentrated on fraud investigations and dealt with computers and computer crime as technology advanced. He has unique experience in the field of computer crime investigation and the supervision of computer forensic examination. He has an in depth knowledge of investigative methodology, which includes, planning and co-ordinating large-scale operations, organising traps both physical and logical, search, seizure, continuity, examination, interrogation, presentation and prosecution. He has often played the 'devils advocate' in order to test procedures, systems, continuity, quality, etc. He has lectured widely in the UK and abroad on computer related topics and trained personnel in both the public and private sectors in computer investigative techniques and other matters. He has also investigated public sector corruption, systemic cheque fraud, drug trafficking and money laundering.
